An arrival from Roma

The cardinal had arrived at the abbey as the Pope had asked him. When he arrived at the great door, he addressed one of the brothers:

Buongiorno fratello. I am brother Iaudas. I have an interview with sister Pamelita.

Padre Gian Maria era di turno al portone dell'abbazia, intento in alcune orazioni, quando sentì una voce fuori dalla porta. Raggiunto lo spioncino e apertolo, si sporse e vide quello che gli sembrava un importante visitatore in attesa, quindi gli disse giovialmente:

"Buondì padre e benvenuto. Sono padre Gian Maria, monaco di questa abbazia: ho sentito parlare ma non ho inteso le parole. Posso chiedervi chi siete e cosa vi porta all'abbazia?"

Father Gian Maria was on duty at the door of the abbey, intent on some prayers, when he heard a voice outdoor. When he reached the peephole and opened it, he leaned over and saw a looking-important guest waiting, so he jovially told him:

"Good day father and welcome. I'm father Gian Maria, monk of this abbey: I heard speaking, but I didn't understand the words. May I ask you who you are and what brings you to the abbey?"

The old man respectfully tilted his head towards the monk who welcomed him at this moment.

Grazie mille. Dear brother, I am Iaudas, cardinal of our Holy Mother Church. Il Santo Padre sent me here to study with our sister Pamelita. Can you tell her I'm here, please ?Thank you.

The monk welcomed the cardinal and answered:

"Please father, come in. The badess has been informed of your arrival and she's waiting for you. Have a good stay in our abbey."

Thank you, brother. Where exactly am I supposed to meet our sister ?
